Training Treats
We have a wide range of training treats, most are simply air dried meat or liver or pates just simple protein treats, which is the healthiest and most interesting for a dog.
Training treats are a great way to help you get the behavior you want from your dog. They let your dog know that it is doing what you want it to do.
Dogs learn faster and have more fun when they get rewarded for good behavior.
Get your Dog Training Treats
This works for all behavior, you need to give the treat as soon as the good behavior has happened, so your dog associates the reward with good behavior.
Treats can also be used as a distraction to encourage good behavior.
For instance my little dog Boo used to bark like crazy at horses, not ideal! So I started to distract her with treats when I saw horses nearby, and in the long run because she got treats for not chasing she now ignores them. Though funnily she will still come to me with a look of ‘I didn’t bark at or chase the horses, so where’s my treat?!
Softer treats are better for young puppies so they don’t stand and chew for ages whilst you are doing some training work.
